First Person Lightning Roulette

This roulette version of Evolution promises something different, with chances to win 500x stake through multipliers.

How to play First Person Lightning Roulette

You can place many different types of bets on the roulette table. Bets can be on a single number or set of numbers, and each type of bet has its own payout percentage. Before you start playing, it is recommended that you read through the basic rules of roulette.

Inside Bets

  • straight up – place your chip directly on a single number (including zero).
  • Split Bet – place your chip on the line between any two numbers, vertically or horizontally.
  • Street Bet – place your chip at the end of any row of numbers. A Street Bet involves three numbers.
  • Corner Bet – place your chip on the corner (central intersection) where four numbers meet. All four numbers are covered.
  • Line Bet – place your chip at the end of two rows at the intersection between the two rows. A line bet includes all numbers in both rows, for a total of six numbers.

Outside Bets

  • Column Bet – place your chip in one of the boxes marked “2 against 1” at the end of the column that includes all 12 numbers in that column. Zero is not covered by any column bet.
  • Boxes Bet – place your chip in one of the three boxes marked “1st 12”, “2nd 12” or “3rd 12” to cover the 12 numbers next to the box.
  • Red Black – place your chip in the Red or Black box to cover the 18 red or 18 black numbers. Zero is not covered by these bets.
  • Even odd – place your chip in one of these boxes to cover the 18 even or 18 odd numbers. Zero is not covered by these bets.
  • 1-18/19-36 – place your chip in one of these boxes to cover the first or second set of 18 numbers. Zero is not covered by these bets.

Neighbor Bets

  • Tiers du Cylindre – This bet includes a total of 12 numbers including 27, 33 and the numbers in between on the wheel opposite from where 0 lies.
  • Voisins du Zero – This bet includes a total of 17 numbers including 22, 25 and the numbers in between on the side of the roulette wheel that contains zero.
  • Orphelins a Cheval – This bet includes a total of 8 numbers on the two segments of the roulette wheel that are not covered by the above bets on voisins du zero and tiers du cylindre.
  • Jeu Zero – This bet covers zero and the 6 numbers that are close to zero on the roulette wheel: 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32 and 15.

Differences from standard roulette

In each game round, one to five “Lightning Numbers” are randomly struck by lightning, giving you 50x to 500x (49:1 – up to 499:1) wins. This happens when you have placed your bet. Each number gets a random multiplier.

The ball is then spun in the roulette wheel and finally comes to rest in one of the numbered pockets in the wheel. You win if you place a bet that covers that specific number. If the winning number is one of the randomly selected “lucky numbers” and is covered by your stake on a Straight Up bet, you will be paid the multiplied winnings.

Game Features

The optimal theoretical return to player (RTP) for a Straight Up bet is 97.10%. The optimal theoretical RTP for all other bets is 97.30%. This is slightly less than with standard roulette because you also have a chance at the multiplier here. First Person Lightning Roulette is the automatic version of Lightning Roulette. In this variant there is no dealer, but the wheel is turned by automatic software. The game is similar to the similar game from competitor Playtech, Quantum Roulette.

Best Strategy for First Person Lightning Roulette

There are some roulette strategies that can work for this game. Those who bet on the Outside Bets are best off with a Martingale or Fibonacci strategy. Still, the presence of the multiplier is perhaps the best reason why you should bet on the Straight Up Bets, or the individual numbers. To have the best chance of this, the tactic where you bet on all numbers is probably the best.
