How does Hugo 2 work?

The castle Hugo 2 is set on and around a gold mine in a hilly forest. That is true, because we almost all know that from the previous version. The background and the slot itself look great. Nicely drawn and sometimes surprisingly animated.

You score coins during those free spins. Every time you have collected a total of four coins, you get four multipliers of x2. Is that all?

No.

At the end of your 10 spins, Hugo is back on the railway line. Two things can happen now.

2) Skull Cavern

You end up in an underground cave. Through rocky rocks you have to make your way across a canyon to a treasure chest.

Every time you take a step, you win cash. But beware: if you fail, if something falls on top of you or if a swarm of bats passes, you fall and you die.

You get one extra life as standard. If you have turned four witches, you will get two extra lives. Five witches give you three extra lives.

When you get to the treasury, you have to choose from three keys. The right key leads to a multiplier that can make your total winnings pay out up to 5x.

The Troll Race is very nicely animated. Hugo runs over the mine railways while being chased by a steam locomotive. If he is overtaken by the locomotive after 10, 15 or 20 spins, you will see a nice joke on your screen.

That other feature then, the Skull Cavern. The principle of hopping for a hopefully large cash prize reminds Mr. Casino of the old familiar (and wailing!) Slot machine Swampland, which some of you probably still know as one of Holland Casino's popular slot machines.

The same applies to Skull Cavern: the design and the animations are top. But the game experience is very poor.
