Since the #metoo affair, many accusations have been made against American celebrities. Casino giant Steve Wynn has not been spared either. At least two women have come forward who accuse him of sexual misconduct. One woman says he had a child after he was raped by him. The other woman says that she was fired by Wynn after she refused to have sex with him. Steve Wynn denies these allegations.
The accusations towards Wynn
A while ago a woman reported to the Las Vegas police. She stated that she had a child of Steve Wynn, but had absolutely not begotten this child voluntarily. She claims that Steve Wynn raped her years ago, causing her to become pregnant. Another woman who joined the police said she was fired a while ago by the casino giant. Not because she didn't do her job well, but because she didn't want to have sex with Wynn. Both things date from the 70s.
Wynn has not (yet) responded to the allegations, but a spokesperson for his company did. “Mr. Wynn has not been approached by the Metropolitan Police Department in Las Vegas. He therefore does not know which women are accusing him and has no further information about their reports. It is disgusting for the media to take over this type of news without checking facts or skepticism. The spokesperson calls the behavior of the media "not journalism, but unfair behavior towards Wynn and his family."
According to Wynn, nothing happened at all in the 1970s, but his ex-wife is behind these allegations. She would like to destroy his good image to bother him. The chance that his ex-wife is indeed behind this is small. Indeed, there are several police reports on the two cases, all of which date from the 70s and seem to be genuine. Steve Wynn stepped down as chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts in February.
