As a roulette croupier in a casino you can't easily lift things up, but there are still a few croupiers who risk it. Most of them are caught, as is the roulette croupier of the Aspers Casino in Westfield Stratford City (London). Together with a few partners he managed to steal nearly 23,000 pounds from his employer. They are now all sentenced to conspiracy, it is announced on December 12, 2017.
Light up in 26 roulette rounds
The trio eventually made a big profit in 26 roulette rounds by scamming the casino. In the end, almost 23,000 pounds were earned with this. This doesn't seem like a lot of money for a large casino, but there was deliberately played with little money per game. In this way, the scammers hoped to keep their unfair practices under the radar at the casino.
The case finally came to light when the casino became suspicious. The Aspers Casino started an investigation into the dealer and eventually found out about the scam.
No imprisonment for the scammers
All three roulette scammers have pleaded guilty in their lawsuit. By admitting that they have scammed up, they avoid a prison sentence. Only if they still make a mistake, in whatever way, will they have to go into jail for 14 months.
