Orange awaits heavy contract in Paris

It is over or under for the Dutch national team on Thursday, August 31, at 8:45 pm. That evening the ball will roll at Stade de France in Paris and the French must be defeated to keep track of participation in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

First place in the picture

After Sweden's stunt victory against France, Group A is open again. The Netherlands is now 3 points behind the two frontrunners and so a victory again gives a view of the first place in the group. A defeat in France, on the other hand, has such disastrous consequences that Orange can write to Russia on its stomach. With the new national team coach Dick Advocaat, the peace within the team seems to have returned. Playing football from within the organization and with a solid defense are now priority number 1. With Stefan de Vrij and Wesley Hoedt, Advocaat has strong defenders who must be able to make it difficult for French attackers. Against the fantastic France, the defense cannot afford an error.

All balls on Robben

To claim the victory in Paris, everything seems to be aligned with Arjen Robben. He has to be launched at mid speed by Kevin Strootman, Davy Klaassen, Georginio Wijnaldum and perhaps Wesley Sneijder and pull the trigger. Perhaps Orange can surprise France in that way as in 2014 Spain was also treated to a 5-1 victory. It is important to believe in your own abilities within the team. Together with his assistant Ruud Gullit, Advocaat has the ability to have his team peak at the right time. Football, however, remains dependent on the shape of the day. A good day and Orange has a chance to compete with the number 10 in the world.

French talents are eager

The French coach Didier Deschamps only has luxury problems. His "older" players such as Alexandre Lacazette and Antoine Griezmann are of international class while young talents such as Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé are rattling the door. The question is whether the elector dares to throw the young generation before the lion for this important encounter. Every position in his selection is double occupied with world class players, but the selection has an Achilles heel. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is in a poor form, both at his club Tottenham Hotspurs and at the national team the final post makes an uncertain impression. Deschamps has inexperienced alternatives with Alphonse Aréola and Benoît Costil, so a change in purpose does not seem a logical choice. It is up to Orange to take advantage of this situation and to test the goalkeeper a lot. Only then is a stunt possible. But as you can see in the odds below, the casinos have a hard head in it.

Mr Green: France: 1.72 Draw: 3.70 The Netherlands: 4.70
Kroon Casino: France: 1.71 Draw: 3.75 The Netherlands: 5.15
