LeoVegas AB, through its subsidiary LeoVegas International Ltd., has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares from the Maltese company World of Sportsbetting. World of Sportsbetting holds a license for sports betting and a casino license in the Schleswig service. This means that an approved application for a sports betting license in the state of Hesse may offer free sports betting managers throughout Germany.
This purchase is made by LeoVegas for 2.6 million euros, the completion of which is expected in February 2018. In addition, LeoVegas has signed an agreement with the well-known football player Lothar Matthäus.
More credibility thanks to licenses
Gustaf Hagman, CEO of LeoVegas commented: “The licenses give more credibility if we work together with media partners, for example, this is important to create a full effect on our market investments. Our new ambassadors also increase the local touch in our marketing, which we know creates loyalty and increases brand awareness. This gives LeoVegas the best possible conditions to accelerate further on the German market. ”
Lothar offers great opportunities for LeoVegas
The new ambassador Lothar Matthäus has a long and successful national team career. He has played in five world championships and has even been named the world's best football player. Due to his popular sport profile in Germany, he offers great opportunities from a marketing perspective to strengthen the position of LeoVegas.
