The Japanese do like to take a chance. The real casino enthusiasts in Japan are lucky because the country's casino market is currently developing considerably. Unfortunately, there are all kinds of new laws and regulations involved in this growth. It is not for nothing that we say "unfortunately", because one of the rules that may be implemented is not exactly positive for the frequent gambler from Japan. You can read more about this law in this article.
Up to 3 times a week to the casino
Various parties in the Japanese government want to protect the frequent gamblers in the country against possible debts. Not by prohibiting gambling with credit cards or by introducing a casino ban for people with debts, but by setting a maximum number of casino visits per week and per month. For example, the Japanese government is currently working on a bill to make all gamblers in the country go to the casino up to three times a week. Japanese gamblers can visit the casino up to ten times a month.
Lots of support for new law
There is much support for the new law in the Japanese government. In addition to the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), the Komeito Party (KP) is also in favor. There is a good chance that the law will eventually be implemented.
The only thing the parties cannot agree on is the entrance fee that Japanese have to pay to enter a casino. The LDP wants to implement an entrance fee of converted $ 48. The entry price that the KP has in mind is a lot higher. This party wants every Japanese to pay $ 75 to enter a casino. It is therefore clear that an entrance fee must be paid, but the cost of a ticket must still be determined by the government.
Only if the parties agree on the cost of a casino ticket, the law will continue. This means that the law regarding the number of maximum casino visits per week and per month will also be implemented. It is not known how long this will take.
