Babushkas is a video slot from Thunderkick with the famous Russian little dolls in the lead.
You know, you start with a big doll, there is a smaller doll in it, there is also an even smaller doll in it, and so on.
Admittedly, it is a somewhat special subject for an online slot, but we are of course used to that from Thunderkick slots.
The entire game mechanism of this slot is based on the so-called symbol upgrade, where the puppets rise in value. A little bit the reverse of how Basbushka dolls work in real life: from big to small.
Also striking is the knitted wool motif that serves as a background. We already get itchy when we look at it. It reminds us of that aunt from Canada, who always sent us a self-knitted sweater at Christmas. Always 3 sizes too small and they itchy like the nits.
You prefer to take it off immediately and never look back. But that was not allowed, because that was rude.

How does the Babushkas lock work?
Babushkas is played on 5 reels with 3 rows of symbols.
You always play with 17 fixed paylines and you start betting from 0.10 euros per spin. You can also bet more: up to a maximum of 100 euros per spin.
The variance of Babushkas is low: you spend a nice long time with your money and you often receive one of the bonus features. Unfortunately, that also means that it is very difficult to win big at the Babushkas slot machine.

Symbols and payouts
The 7 paying symbols all consist of Babushka dolls. That makes it sometimes a bit unclear.
The yellow Babushka doll is worth the most: 2 x the total bet with 5 the same on an active payline.
The other dolls are worth between 0.40 x and 1.50 x the total bet.
There is also a wild symbol in the form of a beautifully colored egg. This can only appear on the 3rd roll.
Besides the wild symbol replacing all other symbols, it can also have a star on it. If that is the case, there is also a bear hidden in the egg. This bear activates the bonus features.

What do we think of the Babushkas lock?
As a rule, we love Thunderkick slots, but this Babushkas doesn't have it in our opinion.
The variance is very low, the bonus features are not too exciting and the payout percentage is just too low with less than 96%.
The theme also doesn't really appeal to us, and then we still express ourselves nicely.
